Product Description

The Helios Radiometer showcases how light energy is converted into kinetic energy. The glass bulb with a partial vacuum inside consists of four vanes mounted on a central axis. When the sun's rays hit the vanes, they start to spin due to the thermal effect (light energy is absorbed and reflected, causing the vanes to rotate). The spinning of the vanes demonstrates how light energy is transformed into kinetic energy.
